The toile in the medalion stands out well from a background of deep yellow that is stippled with small brown dots. The colored parts of the medalion and the fruits and vegetables that surround it are: browns, several golds, buff yellow, clear yellow, tan, and beige. These are bruitened by red, olive green and blue. The darkest color is charcoal, the lightest is cream. The colors are tonal. Because of that and the over-printing, there appear to be many more colors used. The lightest color is not white, it is a cream.
